A IA, oficialmente estabelecida em 1956, tem sido caracterizada por hist\u00f3ricos avan\u00e7os e estagna\u00e7\u00f5es. Originalmente projetada para simular a intelig\u00eancia humana, a IA atual \u00e9 composta por sistemas especializados em tarefas espec\u00edficas. Esta comunica\u00e7\u00e3o documenta as quatro gera\u00e7\u00f5es de abordagens em IA e analisa a crescente import\u00e2ncia da IA nas ci\u00eancias sociais e humanas, especialmente com a plataformiza\u00e7\u00e3o e datafica\u00e7\u00e3o da sociedade. O objetivo desta comunica\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 apresentar um panorama da regula\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e9tica em pesquisa no Brasil, desde 1996 at\u00e9 a aprova\u00e7\u00e3o do Lei N\u00ba 14.874\/2024, que criou o Sistema Nacional de \u00c9tica em Pesquisa. Desde a cria\u00e7\u00e3o da Comiss\u00e3o Nacional de \u00c9tica em Pesquisa (Conep), a regula\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e9tica em pesquisa no Brasil tem sido realizada no Minist\u00e9rio da Sa\u00fade, com fortes cr\u00edticas dos pesquisadores da grande \u00e1rea de Humanidades. Em virtude disto, objetiva-se indicar tamb\u00e9m as a\u00e7\u00f5es do F\u00f3rum de Ci\u00eancias Humanas, Sociais, Sociais Aplicadas, Letras, Lingu\u00edstica e Artes (FCHSSALLA) para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um sistema de revis\u00e3o \u00e9tica pr\u00f3prio para a \u00e1rea de Humanidades. No Brasil, forte \u00eanfase tem sido dada \u00e0 \u00e9tica em pesquisa em sua faceta de regula\u00e7\u00e3o, ou seja, a aprova\u00e7\u00e3o de projetos de pesquisa pelos Comit\u00eas de \u00c9tica em Pesquisa (CEP). \u00c9 um aspecto relevante e, ao mesmo tempo, um reducionismo. Argumentaremos que \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio ir al\u00e9m da vis\u00e3o convencional de \u00e9tica em pesquisa, entendida como aprova\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9tica de projetos de pesquisa por Comit\u00ea de \u00c9tica em Pesquisa (CEP), em dire\u00e7\u00e3o: a) \u00e0 compreens\u00e3o da \u00e9tica como um dos elementos estruturantes da pesquisa, ou seja, a uma vis\u00e3o de \u00e9tica mais substantiva e abrangente, como fundamenta\u00e7\u00e3o e menos como regula\u00e7\u00e3o e legisla\u00e7\u00e3o; e b) \u00e0 incorpora\u00e7\u00e3o das discuss\u00f5es sobre integridade acad\u00eamica e cient\u00edfica (Mainardes, 2022; 2023).<\/p>\n

A forma\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisadores \u00e9 um processo abrangente, complexo e que envolve a aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimentos e habilidades variadas. A tem\u00e1tica da \u00e9tica e da integridade em pesquisa tem sido cada vez mais reconhecida, no cen\u00e1rio nacional e internacional, como um elemento essencial na forma\u00e7\u00e3o e no desenvolvimento profissional dos\/das pesquisadores\/as seja a academia, no governo ou na ind\u00fastria, desde estudantes a pesquisadores acad\u00eamicos, t\u00e9cnicos e consultores (Knight, 2023; Rivera et al, 2005; Beauchemin et al. 2022). Em virtude da import\u00e2ncia da \u00e9tica e da integridade em pesquisa, \u00e9 essencial que essas quest\u00f5es sejam contempladas em todos os n\u00edveis de ensino, especialmente na Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o e na P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o. Na P\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, os espa\u00e7os formativos abrangem: a) a oferta e disciplinas espec\u00edficas de \u00c9tica em Pesquisa e integridade acad\u00eamica e cient\u00edfica e\/ou a inclus\u00e3o de t\u00f3picos em outras disciplinas, bem como a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o semin\u00e1rios, minicursos, palestras, oficinas, workhops; b) as sess\u00f5es de orienta\u00e7\u00e3o de teses e disserta\u00e7\u00f5es; c) as atividades dos Grupos de Pesquisa; e d) as sess\u00f5es de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o ou defesa. Al\u00e9m disto, h\u00e1 oportunidades de forma\u00e7\u00e3o oferecidas por associa\u00e7\u00f5es cient\u00edficas e por Comit\u00eas de \u00c9tica em Pesquisa (CEP), nas modalidades presencial ou virtual.<\/p>\n

Em virtude do advento da IA e do seu r\u00e1pido desenvolvimento, faz-se necess\u00e1rio investir em ambas as frentes, ou seja, na defini\u00e7\u00e3o de marcos reguladores e na forma\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisadores, tendo em vista a necessidade da promo\u00e7\u00e3o da IA respons\u00e1vel, entendida como aquela que tira proveito das facilidades da IA e, ao mesmo tempo, busca garantir o atendimento de padr\u00f5es \u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n

Ser\u00e1, portanto, necess\u00e1rio abordar o enquadramento concetual do t\u00f3pico, os principais achados e a sua atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 realidade de 2024. Na \u00faltima d\u00e9cada parece existir uma crescente popularidade das discuss\u00f5es sobre fraude, na sociedade em geral e dentro das Institui\u00e7\u00f5es de Ensino Superior, em particular; tamb\u00e9m se afigura de f\u00e1cil concord\u00e2ncia que se trata de uma problem\u00e1tica em constru\u00e7\u00e3o, insuficientemente conhecida sendo que, portanto, merece a nossa aten\u00e7\u00e3o e aprofundamento. Precisamos de estudar mais o fen\u00f3meno da fraude acad\u00e9mica e cient\u00edfica, que se tem reconhecido mais elevada (ou ser\u00e1 mais vis\u00edvel? Ou temos mais instrumentos de detec\u00e7\u00e3o? ou temos melhor literacia sobre o assunto?). A principal preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 de natureza \u00e9tica, relativa ao bem que se pretende preservar (a integridade). Procederemos a uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o sint\u00e9tica sobre as estrat\u00e9gias e procedimentos existentes a n\u00edvel nacional, incluindo a dimens\u00e3o normativa, os C\u00f3digos de \u00c9tica e de Conduta \u00c9tica das Institui\u00e7\u00f5es de Ensino Superior em Portugal, conte\u00fados sobre integridade e pr\u00e1ticas il\u00edcitas descritas; e a dimens\u00e3o sancionat\u00f3ria, que nos remete para os regulamentos disciplinares. Reconhecemos e explicitamos a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre diversos tipos de documentos institucionais, nomeadamente entre documentos que materializam e concretizam as diversas dimens\u00f5es da atividade, por exemplo, Estatutos (princ\u00edpios e valores institucionais), C\u00f3digo de \u00c9tica ou de Conduta, Carta de direitos e deveres ou Carta de direitos e garantias, Declara\u00e7\u00e3o sobre integridade acad\u00e9mica, Regulamento Disciplinar. Paralelamente, o ChatGPT, uma ferramenta de Intelig\u00eancia Artificial Generativa (GenAI), tem sido amplamente discutida na investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em educa\u00e7\u00e3o. Sendo certo que a IA n\u00e3o se rege por princ\u00edpios \u00e9ticos e n\u00e3o sabe distinguir o correto do incorreto, o certo do errado e o bem do mal, os benef\u00edcios que dela advierem para a humanidade depender\u00e3o do uso que o humano dela fizer. Assim, come\u00e7aremos por estabelecer um conjunto de eixos \u00e9ticos fundamentais que devem regular a conduta do investigador em Literaturas, L\u00ednguas e Culturas da Universidade de Aveiro na era da IA, especificando-se o conceito de m\u00e1 conduta acad\u00e9mica pela utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o incorreta de IA. S\u00e3o disso exemplos, o pl\u00e1gio, a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o transparente do ChatGPT nos trabalhos acad\u00e9micos, o uso n\u00e3o \u00e9tico da recolha de dados pessoais atrav\u00e9s da IA, o vi\u00e9s cognitivo-cultural potenciador de discrimina\u00e7\u00e3o e perpetua\u00e7\u00e3o de estere\u00f3tipos e preconceitos de g\u00e9nero quanto aos dados gerados pela IA. Fundamental se torna, por isso, eleger um conjunto de princ\u00edpios \u00e9ticos e de valores espec\u00edficos a adotar como valores profissionais e institucionais. Valores esses que dizem respeito \u00e0 dignidade da pessoa humana, autonomia e liberdade individual, privacidade, responsabilidade, justi\u00e7a e equidade, e integridade acad\u00e9mica e cient\u00edfica. Acrescem ainda princ\u00edpios e valores espec\u00edficos referentes aos participantes (Consentimento informado, Confidencialidade e Anonimato, Deception e Debriefing, Dignidade, Seguran\u00e7a e bem-estar dos\/as participantes); Valores dos investigadores face ao conhecimento (Compet\u00eancia, Honestidade, Veracidade, Imparcialidade, Confiabilidade, Objetividade, Rigor, Responsabilidade, Integridade, Autonomia); e Valores dos investigadores face \u00e0 sociedade (Transpar\u00eancia, Responsabilidade, Rigor, Integridade, Clareza). Leciona unidades curriculares de metodologias de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 o Coordenador do Congresso Ibero-Americano em Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Qualitativa<\/a> e da World Conference on Qualitative Research<\/a>. Organizou diversas edi\u00e7\u00f5es especiais e livros sobre Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Qualitativa. \u00c9 o editor principal da revista New Trends in Qualitative Research (NTQR). \u00c9 investigador do Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em Did\u00e1tica e Tecnologia na Forma\u00e7\u00e3o de Formadores (CIDTFF), Departamento de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o e de Psicologia, da Universidade de Aveiro e colaborador do Laborat\u00f3rio de Intelig\u00eancia Artificial e Ci\u00eancia de Computadores (LIACC), da Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. As suas \u00e1reas de interesse contemplam a Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Qualitativa e M\u00e9todos Mistos, com \u00eanfase no estudo de m\u00e9todos, t\u00e9cnicas de recolha e an\u00e1lise de dados para implementa\u00e7\u00e3o no software webQDA. Em 2023, foi distinguido com uma men\u00e7\u00e3o honrosa na \u00e1rea das Artes e Humanidades da categoria \u201cPr\u00e9mio Investigador UA\u201d. Complementarmente, tem realizado estudos neste campo sobre representa\u00e7\u00e3o e visualiza\u00e7\u00e3o de dados, revis\u00e3o de literatura, \u00e9tica, tomada de decis\u00e3o, satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o de clientes\/utilizadores, entre outros. Foi co-director da Red Latinoamericana de Estudios Epistemol\u00f3gicos en Pol\u00edtica Educativa – ReLePe (2012-2019). \u00c9 editor da Revista Pr\u00e1xis Educativa (UEPG) e da Revista de Estudios Te\u00f3ricos y Epistemol\u00f3gicos en Pol\u00edtica Educativa. Desde 2015 integra a Comiss\u00e3o de \u00c9tica em Pesquisa e Integridade da ANPEd. Desde 2019 \u00e9 coordenador da referida Comiss\u00e3o.

Professora Catedr\u00e1tica na Universidade de Aveiro (UA) e uma acad\u00e9mica com um percurso fortemente interdisciplinar. Possui forma\u00e7\u00e3o inicial em Filosofia, seguida de um mestrado em Psicologia Social, doutoramento em Cultura e agrega\u00e7\u00e3o em Estudos Culturais. Pioneira dos Estudos Culturais em Portugal, criou o primeiro programa doutoral nesta \u00e1rea em 2010, numa parceria entre as Universidades de Aveiro e do Minho. Atualmente, dirige o Centro de L\u00ednguas, Literaturas e Culturas (CLLC) da UA. Al\u00e9m disso, \u00e9 presidente da Rede Nacional em Estudos Culturais (RNEC), da Rede Internacional em Estudos Culturais (RIEC) e da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Ibero-americana de Estudos de \u00d3cio (OTIUM).<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Associado com Agrega\u00e7\u00e3o em Media Digitais na Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, onde fundou e coordena o iNOVA Media Lab, um laborat\u00f3rio de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e desenvolvimento dedicado \u00e0s \u00e1reas da narrativa imersiva e interativa, impacto social da Intelig\u00eancia Artificial, estudos de plataformas e redes sociais, visualiza\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00e3o e comunica\u00e7\u00e3o de ci\u00eancia. Na NOVA FCSH, coordenou o Mestrado em Novos Media e Pr\u00e1ticas Web (2020-2024) e coordena atualmente o Doutoramento em Media Digitais. Integra o grupo de especialistas do Conselho da Europa sobre Intelig\u00eancia Artificial e Educa\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 autor de v\u00e1rios artigos cient\u00edficos e cap\u00edtulos de livros publicados internacionalmente e da obra Os Algoritmos e N\u00f3s, editada pela Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Francisco Manuel dos Santos (2023). Foi bolseiro da Fondation Maison des Sciences de L\u2019Homme (2024) e distinguido com o German Marshall Fund of the United States Fellowship (2016) e com o Pr\u00e9mio Calouste Gulbenkian \u2013 Conhecimento (2019). \u00c9 autor do podcast Da Intelig\u00eancia ao Artificial, emitido nas plataformas digitais do Bauer Media Group.<\/p>\n
